Stitched With Cheer!

I just finished a really fun new kit from Stampin' Up!  The Stitched With Cheer project kit was so fun and simple, but I ended up with 18 beautiful cards!  My daughter and I worked on it together.  I love the way everything is included (except the stamp set, but I was able to use a stamp set I already had, so that worked out really well, too!)

Here are the cards we made:
I love all the texture!  That burlap ribbon is so fun and the holly berries are self stick and go on quick!

This one was super simple.  The stitches are easy because all the holes are pre-punched and the gold thread is cut for you, too!  There's even a needle threader and two needles, so you can work with a friend!

This last one was my favorite.  So beautiful and the 3-D effect was so easy to create!  Tiny self-stick pearls complete the snowy look!

I hope you get a chance to try one of these kits.  They are so much fun to create...all the planning is done for you!  Enjoy and Merry Christmas to you all!

Snow Place!

Isn't this just the cutest set ever?  I love it because it can work all winter long, not just for Christmas time!  The pretty new Striped Ribbon and the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch gives this card a cute look.  The background is embossed with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder.  A swish from the Work of Art stamp set adds some ground for the snowmen to stand on.  The different parts of the Snowmen can each be stamped separately so you can use different colors!

This little guy's black hat is super sparkly thanks to some Black Glimmer Paper!  This set comes with it's own set of Snow Friends Framelit Dies, so it's easy to punch out the hat, tie, and arms.  Some Striped Ribbon accents his hat and top of the tag.  The Curvy Corner Trio Punch and some Washi Tape help add to the mood.  Finally, a background of Whisper White Craft Ink snowflakes are stamped and two of my favorite ribbons are used...Real Red 1/4" Cotton Ribbon and the lovely Burlap Ribbon!

This is an adorable 3-D card that opens up like a shadow box and can stand on it's own.  The Softly Falling Embossing Folder gives the Cherry Cobbler some texture and the cute penguins pop out on some Dimensionals.  They are stamped in Basic Black Ink, then colored with Stampin' Markers.  The penguins and their bows are punched out using the Snow Friends Framelit dies.  A tiny Rhinestone accentuates their bowties.  Completely adorable.

I've so enjoyed this month of Christmas cards and I hope you have, too.  Enjoy this day of peace and may you each be blessed with love and happiness.

Cup of Cheer

Merry Christmas, Friends!
Santa's On His Way!  The Cup of Cheer stamp set and the Lots of Labels Framelits are the perfect place for Santa to hang out!  He is hand trimmed from the Home for Christmas DSP...love this paper!  Two Rhinestones (colored with a Real Red Stampin' Marker!) add some sparkle!

This pretty card is perfect for a Friendship note or even a Get Well card.  Some Dazzling Diamonds in your cup (haha!) and Glimmer Paper behind glams things up a bit.  A delicate Doily and the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder create a soft background.

And it is Christmas Day!  The new Elegant Dots Embossing Folder adds a pretty texture to this card, which is blinged up a bit with some Dazzling Details around the 'wreath.'

I have one more set to share with you later today.  I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas Day!

All Ye Faithful

This pretty card is entirely embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, then put through the Big Shot using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder.  Tied together with a beautiful gold ribbon, this card is gorgeously elegant.

This card is also embossed with Gold Embossing Powder, then bordered with two strips of Gold Glimmer Paper.

Christmas Greeting to you all as you await the celebration of the birth of Jesus!

Holly Jolly Greetings!

Here are a few more cards that can be easily converted to tags for your last minute packages!  They all use the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set.
This one uses that pretty Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper, as well as a "Merry," punched out from Red Glimmer Paper with the Christmas Greeting Thinlits!  The background is embossed with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.

Here's a super simple tag or card.  The silver ribbon, cute Mini Metallic Clothespin and Gold Sequin Trim add some quick and festive bling to the tag, which is punched out with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  A small strip of Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum completes this easy tag/card!

Such a pretty card.  The "Peace" sentiment is cut out of Silver Glimmer Paper with the Christmas Greeting Thinlit and the background of the tag is stamped with snowflakes!  The DSP is from the Season of Cheer pack.  Simple and elegant!

Merry Christmas Eve!

Cozy Christmas!

This set of cards are simple enough to be used as tags for your Christmas gifts!  Just make them a little smaller and you're all set!

The real fun on this card comes in the form of Red Pompom Trim...so festive!  The cute sentiment is stamped and punched out using the Lots of Labels Framelits, with a dab of Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details on each side!  The snowflakes that are stamped in Versamark on the background of Cherry Cobbler cardstock come from the A Little Something stamp set.

These pretty Silver Bells are stamped in Versamark Ink, then immediately heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder.  The gorgeous Red Foil Circle is punched out behind them.  The background is embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder and a strip of Silver Glimmer paper completes the look!  Don't forget the Rhinestones to 'ring' the bells!

This super easy Santa is hand trimmed from the pretty Home for Christmas Designer Series paper, then layered onto another strip of the same paper and cut into a tag.  The sentiment is stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink.  Quick and fun!

I hope you're having a wonderful Christmas Eve morning!

Peaceful Pines

Such an easy, yet beautiful card.  The background uses the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder, layered with cardstock rectangles and a punched circle from the Merry Moments DSP.  A pretty tree is stamped twice, once in Old Olive and again in White Craft Ink, then raised on Dimensionals.  Dazzling Details adds a glittery snowy look.  The sentiment is framed by the Decorative Label Punch.

This card is super simple.  Just a few strips of cardstock and paper from the Merry Moments DSP stack, add a stamped tree, cut it out with the Perfect Pines Framelits Dies, add a sentiment and a Rhinestone and you're done!

This is such a pretty technique!  Punch out a tree using the Perfect Pines Framelits Dies, then layer a sheet from the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper behind it.  Punch out the tree stand from Night of Navy cardstock, stamp some snowflakes and add a Silver Foil star to the top of the tree!  Silver Cording lies behind the sentiment, which is also punched out using the Decorative Label Punch.

To You & Yours, Too!

This stamp set has a little bit of everything!  A pretty background stamp (trees with a deer) that fits perfectly in the 'window' of the Hearth & Home Thinlits Dies, a couple of pretty sentiments, an ornament hanger! and a pretty tree (coming up in the next card below)

The bow is punched out of Silver Glimmer paper, using the Wonderful Wreaths Framelits Dies and the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder provides some texture for the background.

Here is a really easy card to make if you have the pretty Christmas Greetings Thinlit Dies...the Red Glimmer Paper really shines on this card.  Punch out the star with the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack.

Another quick card that uses the gorgeous Joy from the Wonderful Wreath Framelits Dies punched out of Silver Glimmer Paper.  The Softly Falling Embossing Folder is used (upside down!) and the sentiment is stamped on cardstock, then punched out with the cute new Curvy Corner Trio Punch.  Such a fun way to use all of our new tools and supplies!

Hope you're enjoying these ideas as you are crafting your way through Christmas!

Your Presents

A quick and easy card that uses the Your Presents stamp set, but would be just as easy to make on your own with DSP or even solid color cardstock and some ribbon or Gold Cording.  The Brick Wall Embossing Folder provides a cute background and the Jolly framelit comes from the Christmas Greetings Thinlits collection.  Fun and quick!

Another simple card created with the Your Presents stamp set and the Red Striped ribbon, along with the Gold Cording.  A strip of Gold Foil adds elegance.  The sentiment is stamped in Gold ink and the Real Red cardstock is punched out with the Scallop Oval punch, one of my favorite punches.

Here's a way to use the same stamp set for a Thank You or Birthday card.  The gift bag uses a Doily and Gold Cording and the background is embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder.  The sentiment is stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink (give it a few hours to dry!) and hand cut.

I hope you're having fun this weekend preparing for Christmas festivities next week.  We made gingerbread houses this afternoon!  So fun.

Joyful Season!

I really love this new DSP, Season of Cheer.  It has a pretty watercolor feel to it, which goes with this stamp set, Joyful Season.  This card also has a 3-D poinsettia flower, punched out using the Festive Flower Builder Punch.  A tiny piece of Season of Cheer Washi Tape and a Pearl add some extra fun.  The Joyful sentiment is embossed with Cherry Cobbler Embossing Powder.

This pretty bird uses two-step stamping.  The outline is stamped first, then the color is added later.  Washi Tape and Gold Glitter ribbon blings it up, along with the Peace sentiment, which is punched out from a Gold Foil Sheet using the Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies.  The ribbons are Basic Black Stitched Satin Ribbon and thin Gold Metallic Thread.

This one is my favorite from this set.  I just love the pretty yellow flowers.  This card uses the Reason for the Season stamp set, some pretty Daffodil Delight 1/4" Cotton Ribbon and a tag made from White Vellum Cardstock.  The sentiment is framed with the Scallop Circle and Circle punches.

Well, we are 7 days away from Christmas already, so if you are behind on your cards, use this last one to make Happy New Year cards.  I hope you're all enjoying the holiday season.  My kids are making Christmas cookies today.  Yum!

Oh What Fun!

I just finished making my Tags from the Oh What Fun Tag Project Kit!  These were so much fun to make.  Everything comes in the kit except adhesives, stamps and ink.  The tags all punch out easily and everything else comes ready to put together...jingle bells, gold bows, glittery ornaments, silver doilies and stars, ribbons galore, sequins and more!  All you need is the Oh What Fun Stamp Set (or similar set) to stamp the words and three ink pads in Real Red, Mint Macaron (what a pretty color!) and Garden Green.

I hope you get a chance to try this kit.  It's even on sale right now!  I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it all went together and how professional my tags are going to look this year!  Merry Christmas!

Christmas Cuties!

I just love how creative this card is!  The Elf stamp is from the Christmas Cuties set, as is the sentiment.  The box is embossed using the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  A couple of strips of Silver Glimmer Paper decorate the gift box and lid.  The bow is made using the Bow Builder Punch and a Rhinestone Jewel.  The little elf is 'painted' using the Aqua Painter and some ink off the cover of the regular Classic Stampin' Ink Pads.  Super quick and fun!

This little Angel is a bookmark, hung with Silver 1/8" ribbon and 'painted with ink and an Aqua Painter.  Some Silver Glimmer paper at the bottom and a dab or two of Silver Sparkle Dazzling Details gives her halo and wings a little shine.  The sentiment is stamped in Whisper White Craft Ink (which takes a bit of time to dry, so let it set a few hours!)

This cute little guy is from the same stamp set, Christmas Cuties, as are the 'dots' of snow falling from the sky.  The Aqua Painter gives a nice watercolor look.  The flag is a strip of cardstock wrapped around a toothpick!  Another fun and easy card!

I hope you are all enjoying preparing for Christmas.  We are having lots of rain here.  I got to play with babies in the church nursery this morning...boy was that fun!

Christmas Poinsettias and More!

I just love this card.  Those gorgeous musical notes contrast so well with the elegant poinsettia, both from the pretty Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper collection.  The sentiment comes from Reason for the Season and the Home for Christmas red Enamel Dots are also from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

This rustic card uses the same stamp set, Reason for the Season.  The leaves are punched out with the Festive Flower Builder Punch and clipped up the sides to create a natural look.  The Note Tag Punch frames the sentiment nicely.  The versatile Woodland Embossing Folder in the background and a bow of natural Linen Thread finish it off!

This final card uses the beautiful Two-Step poinsettia in the same stamp set to create a pretty flower.  The sentiment is stamped on a sheet of White Vellum and punched out with a Circle Punch. A punched out circle from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack lies behind it.  The background is embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder and some curliques of the Gold Metallic Thread add a little shine behind the flower.

I hope you're all having fun preparing for Christmas.  We saw a Christmas play last night that put me in the mood!

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!

I love this look!  A cute chalkboard with Christmas 'chalk!'  This card uses the Jolly Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  The quick and easy tag is made by simply clipping off the corners of some Basic Black cardstock and using a couple of hole punches to make the center piece.  Ink the stamp up using White Craft Stampin' Ink and stamp.  Then add the Real Red and Mossy Meadow accents on the tag using Stampin' Markers.

The background is stamped with Versamark on Cherry Cobbler Cardstock with a strip of Home for Christmas DSP on the side.  The new Real Red Striped Ribbon and Season of Cheer Washi Tape finish this one off!

This elegant card uses the beautiful Night of Navy cardstock and ink.  A sheet of Silver Foil surrounds the pretty snowflakes on the Season of Cheer Designer Series Paper.  A tiny dab of Dazzling Details adds some sparkle to each snowflake!

This card is so striking!  The beautiful leaping reindeer come from the same stamp set as the other two cards, the Jolly Christmas set.  The snow flakes are stamped in Mint Macaron and layered on a background of Real Red.  A touch of Season of Cheer Washi Tape borders the reindeer.  Gold Embossing Powder makes the 'Joy' from the Holly Jolly Greetings stamp set stand out!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are ready to start the Christmas season.  Enjoy!

Wonderland!

Here's a really simple card that you can make in just a few minutes using the new Wonderland Stamp Set!  The gorgeous trees are stamped with the ink full-strength, then stamped again to give that far away look.  So pretty!

This card uses the same stamp set with Whisper White Craft Ink to give a glorious snowy effect.  The Sleigh Ride Edgelits make up the pretty little houses in the town.  The saying comes from To You & Yours Too Stamp Set.

Isn't this card lovely?  The trees are stamped with Mossy Meadow and Old Olive.  The Designer Series Paper is from the Merry Moments Paper Stack in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  A little strip of Whisper White Seam Binding Ribbon fancies it up a bit.

I think this is my last set with a Thanksgiving card in it!  Next post will be all Christmas! (or mostly, haha!)  Enjoy, and I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your friends and family and pets this week.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Scenes!

This is one of my favorite sets from the new Holiday Mini Catalog, Happy Scenes.  The cute Hearth & Home Thinlit Die is just perfect for all of the holidays.  This card showcases Halloween, but without the Boo! and the spider, it turns into a Thanksgiving card!

This card uses the same stamp as the above card, only it also includes the tree!  And the very popular Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder creates a beautiful background.  A strip of White Glitter Ribbon sparkles it up a bit!

This gorgeous card uses the beautiful tree scene from the Happy Scenes stamp set, along with the Heart & Home Thinlits Die.  The Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and a wide strip of Silver Glimmer Paper add some beautiful texture to the background.

A Christmas Shoebox Swap!

The other evening, a group of us got together and had a Shoebox Swap!  This is where we each bring the supplies to make one card in a shoebox.  Here's the one I chose to bring!
I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) this card from a fellow demonstrator, Mindy Backes.  Isn't it cute? The stars are 'debossed' using a new to me technique.  After embossing with the Lucky Stars Embossing Folder in my Big Shot, I turned the paper over and sponged Crumb Cake ink on top of the Crumb Cake Cardstock, to create the shadow effect inside the stars.  Very fun!

I used Whisper White Craft Ink to sponge around the edges of the Cherry Cobbler circle (punched out using the 2 1/2" Circle Punch).  The tree stamp comes from the Festival of Trees stamp set and is stamped in Mossy Meadow on Mossy Meadow Cardstock.  The sentiment is from And Many More.  I used a few Rhinestone Jewels for sparkle and added a sparkly Silver Foil Star using the star punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Set.

Merry Early Christmas!

Howl-o-ween Treat! (and a bit of Christmas, too!)

This set of cute cards uses the Howl-o-ween Stamp Set, as well as some fun accessories found in the new Holiday Mini Catalog.
This spooky card has the sentiment embossed on some Vellum Paper and cut out by hand to give it a kind of "floating" look.  The skeleton is also embossed with Basic Black Embossing Powder.  Black Glimmer Paper adds a few highlights!  I just love the look of those Spider Web Doilies on top of the Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper.  The cute bow comes from the Handpicked Framelits set!

This is one of my favorites!  The Boo! comes from the Boo to You Framelits Dies set and the spiders are embossed with Gold Embossing Powder on some White Vellum paper.  The Boo! is cut out twice; once from Gold Foil paper and again from White Vellum paper, to give a shadow effect.  The Happy Haunting Designer Series Paper stands out with a bit of Tangelo Twist paper behind it.  Wouldn't this make a cute candy bar wrapper?

This is the very creatively Christmas version of this stamp set.  Our cute little owl transforms into Santa Penguin!  The Witch's hat becomes a Santa hat and the scary skeleton head turns into Santa's sack!  How cute is that?

The snowy background is created with a couple of strips of torn Whisper White cardstock and the background is Smoky Slate card stock embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The raised dots are highlighted with a touch of the White uni-ball Signo Gel Pen.  Merry Christmas!

Sparkly Seasons!

Today I'm going to share another set of cute cards from the new Holiday Catalog.  This set is called Sparkly Seasons and can be used all year round!
Isn't this just adorable?  I love the scary background Woodland Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The Happy Haunting Washi Tape looks great behind the Seasonal Frames Thinlit die (Spooky!).

Here's a card that can be used for Christmas or Birthday.  The Ballerina twirls prettily on the Silver embossed base.  A touch of Dazzling Details adds sparkle to her tutu and a Rhinestone completes the look.

Here is the Winter version of this set!  The cute snowman is colored with Stampin' Markers and Dazzling Details.  I love the snowy background of the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The Seasonal Frames Thinlit "snow" die cut is punched out of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.  A strip of Season of Cheer Washi Tape finishes it off!

I love seeing how one stamp set can be used to create so many different looks!
