Christmas Poinsettias and More!

I just love this card.  Those gorgeous musical notes contrast so well with the elegant poinsettia, both from the pretty Home for Christmas Designer Series Paper collection.  The sentiment comes from Reason for the Season and the Home for Christmas red Enamel Dots are also from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

This rustic card uses the same stamp set, Reason for the Season.  The leaves are punched out with the Festive Flower Builder Punch and clipped up the sides to create a natural look.  The Note Tag Punch frames the sentiment nicely.  The versatile Woodland Embossing Folder in the background and a bow of natural Linen Thread finish it off!

This final card uses the beautiful Two-Step poinsettia in the same stamp set to create a pretty flower.  The sentiment is stamped on a sheet of White Vellum and punched out with a Circle Punch. A punched out circle from the Merry Moments Designer Series Paper Stack lies behind it.  The background is embossed with the Large Polka Dot Embossing Folder and some curliques of the Gold Metallic Thread add a little shine behind the flower.

I hope you're all having fun preparing for Christmas.  We saw a Christmas play last night that put me in the mood!

Fall Acorn Fun!

This new stamp set, Acorny Thank You, comes with it's own Acorn Punch, which makes these cards super easy and fun.  The circle is punched out of the Into the Woods Designer Series Paper.  An Into the Woods wood element makes this card pop!

This Thanksgiving card is simple, yet contains many different elements!  A small strip of Into the Woods DSP in the background is covered by a cute tag created with the new Curvy Corner Trio Punch!  A Wooden Element and a piece of Old Olive Baker's Twine adds some texture.

This friendly note also uses the Acorny Thank You stamp set and matching Acorn Punch, but adds a strip of that pretty new Very Vanilla Subtle Stripes Satin Ribbon, from the new Holiday Mini Catalog.  The background acorns are stamped using Versamark Ink.

I hope you're having fun preparing for Thanksgiving now that the weather is finally starting to turn toward Fall.  Enjoy!

Concord Crush Blossom Flower

I love this color!  I admit, I thought it was too dark at first, but now I really love it.  I used my new Blossom Flower Punch to create this card along with the Mixed Bunch stamp set.  I think it gives it almost a Dutch Delft look to it.
I was really surprised at how bright the Whisper White Craft Ink came out on the dark purple cardstock.  Craft Ink holds it's true color, but it takes a while to dry completely, so don't touch it right away.  This design was borrowed from Lauri Ingram.  I used the Concord Crush Stitched Poly Ribbon and a dimensional to pop-up the center of the flower (cut out with the 3/4" Circle Punch).  The sentiment is from the Perfectly Penned stamp set.

Just a note, Concord Crush will be retiring in a few months when the new catalog comes out, so if you love it, be sure to get some before then!
